Our history

1972
Creation of the site as a BI group production unit.

1995
Following significant investments, the plant becomes one of the Boehringer Ingelheim group's five European pharmaceutical production centres.

2005
While still part of the Boehringer Ingelheim group, from 1 January 2005 the production works becomes a legally independent producer with the name Istituto De Angeli, allowing ever greater development of its contract manufacturing work.

2009
From 1 July, Istituto De Angeli becomes part of the Fareva company
